Discover that composing isn't a mysterious gift
it is a creative process you can learn.
Welcome! I'm Diana Mascari.
For years people have told me they wish they could compose, but they assumed composition was something only gifted people could do. I don't believe that's true.
I believe composing is a learnable creative process—one musical idea at a time.
If you've ever wondered whether you could write music of your own, I'd love to help you discover the composer within you.
Throughout this six-week workshop, I'll guide you step by step as you learn how composers develop simple musical ideas into complete compositions.
You don't need to be Beethoven to compose meaningful music.
You simply need curiosity, guidance, and the willingness to take the first step.
I hope you'll join me.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need advanced music theory?
No.
If you've taken piano lessons or studied another instrument, you already have the musical background needed to begin. Throughout the course, we'll build on what you already know while introducing new concepts in a practical and encouraging way.
What if I've never composed before?
Perfect.
This course was created specifically for adults beginning their composing journey. We'll start with simple musical ideas and gradually develop them into complete musical thoughts.
What if I'm nervous about sharing my music?
Many people feel that way.
There is never any pressure to share more than you're comfortable sharing. My goal is to create a supportive, encouraging environment where everyone feels free to learn, experiment, and grow.
